iPhone 3G / 3GS Battery Replacement Service
The iPhone 3G / 3GS has been around for a few years now and it is becoming very common for the iPhone 3G battery to lose charge or stop working completely.
This can also happen if the iphone has been dropped and landed hard on it's back.
Symptoms that indicate a battery replacement is required are:
- iPhone 3G / 3GS won't power on.
- iPhone 3G / 3GS will only power on with charge cable connected.
- iPhone 3G / 3GS sits on charging icon when charge cable is connected but never turns on.
- iPhone 3G / 3GS loads up to Apple logo and then restarts (this can be caused by other problems too)
- iPhone 3G / 3GS Battery charges and drains extremely quickly.
- iPhone 3G / 3GS turns off randomly or during / after heavy use. (playing games or making calls)
- iPhone 3G / 3GS battery drains from full to empty in less than 1 day even when no calls are made.
- Back of iPhone 3G / 3GS becomes hot after extended use or while charging.
Symptoms that do not require a battery replacement but may appear to be battery:
- iPhone 3G / 3GS won't show even the battery icon when plugged into charge cable
- iPhone 3G / 3GS Battery charges and drains extremely quickly in combination with vibration motor activating randomly (this is a short circuit or water damage issue)
- Back of iPhone 3G / 3GS becomes hot after extended use or while charging in combination with vibration motor activating randomly (this is a short circuit or water damage issue)
- iPhone 3G / 3GS battery drains quickly after Jailbreak. This is a software problem and there are patches that can be applied in cydia to fix this software bug.
- iPhone 3G / 3GS won't display the charging icon when plugged in to charge cable. This is a problem with the Charging Dock Connector
